The river flowed smoothly down towards the beach, waves rolling gently against the pure white sand. A thin covering of down grey clouds cloaked the sky in mystery, shadowing the light of the rising sun so it filtered down with a pearly, shaded glow. The hiss and sigh of the sea was soothing, a gentle hum in the background of a song composed by a symphony of gulls.
Along the shore trotted a mare, her nape arched gracefully, visage tucked into her narrow chest. She seemed almost translucent, like she was made of the mist rising off the sea. Where her hooves touched the sand, they left no markings. Her long stems raised no spray from the ocean. Her ash dappled coat shimmered in the faint sunlight, and dark gray silks billowed softly, though there was no breeze. Her subtle, golden wings were folded against her pelt, the cloudy feathers rippling like the sea.

I ain't here to do anything halfway, N Y X X;; don't give a damn what anyone might say.
Early morning dew lay thick on the budding plants along the terra.Promising rays of sun beamed down, warming the earth after a cool night. The air was crisp,as it was every Spring morning, and it was this setting that revealed a lone ebony colt.He held his crown high with pride,as if he was proving something to someone. He traveled alone, but his step faltered not.The youngling was quite sure of himself, and is aura told he was quite used to this solitary game. The colt came to a stop, auds perking at the lasting sound of rolling waves on the ocean. He observed his surrounding, taking in details like a horse new to the area would.Perhaps he was new to Nyore Valley, but for now his story will remain unknown.
The tall grasses that sprouted from the dunes revealed the youngster yet again-this time he was on the beach. He glanced around once more, finding no others around. He set off again with that proud trot, carriage suggesting he was not wild-born. Seemingly without a care in the world he duo-beated along the lapping water.Occasionally a rouge wave would come out and reach for his small hooves,at which he would give a little kick, sending the wave in a miniature wave in reverse. So he was a water bender,as you've probably realized. But today he did not care to swim with the substance he so loved, but rather preferred to stay dry on the cool day as he made his way to some unknown destination.
The starless colt stopped suddenly, creating deep gouges in the soft sand.He balked,an unseen object in front of him.If we looked through his eyes,we could see a ghostly figure, glowing in the sun.She held her feathered wings gracefully and stepped ever so lightly. The colt was not sure his vision was at its best right now,and he did not straighten his pillars out from under him.He simply stood in disbelief.

The spectral creature continued to walk slowly along the bleached white sand, her strange orbs never leaving the dark colt as he picked his way down the dunes. A large wave suddenly struck out toward her, but the femme did not even spare it a passing glance. As it crashed over her, it passed through the mare as if she was nothing more than air. The colt had picked up his hooves in a lively two beat, his movements so distinguished the specter wondered if he was royal born. He held himself with such confidence, such grace.
The waves responded to his stone hard hooves as if he had silently commanded them to flee; flowing quickly away from him with a gentle hiss. Suddenly - his attention was placed on the phantom mare. A look of shocked wonder was plastered to his visage, curiosity singing in his youthful eyes. The angelic mare flared her wings as a ray of sun fought its way between the clouds. Another wave crashed behind her - the sun causing a choreographed dance of miniature rainbows to waltz off in several directions. As she tossed her silken mane the gulls stopped their calls, and the very sea seemed to quiet. The wind calmed, as if holding its breath - waiting for the powerful mare to speak.
"It is true what you see... do not doubt. " Her voice rang and shimmered like a hundred heavenly bells, and while it sounded as innocent as lovely as a newborn filly, there was an aura of authority about her. Her very presence would have made the joints of kings weak, the hearts of queens quiver, and the voices of the elements themselves raise to call out to her. Not wishing the colt to fear her, she folded her wings to her spine and lowered her dial - not in a bow, no.. never, but in a humble request for his acknowledgment.

The sun was quickly making its way to the peak of the heavens. The gulls had quieted under its heated glare and were now seeking out shade or busy fishing. The sound of the rolling waves was more evident now that the noisy gulls had been removed for the most part from Nyxx's auds. But that was the first thing on his mind as he stood, utterly flabbergasted at the ghostly figure before him.Not a single movement was seen on his part as the horse, now defined as a mare, spread her wings. It seemed everything in their surrounding area praised and respected her.She controlled nature with power, not skill. The colt could hardly comprehend what was going on,but he kept every muscle trained on the thought of 'flee' incase the need arose.
When the being spoke,it was truly a heavenly voice.Nyxx was lulled by how harmonious her tones were;it was enough to make the most cold hearted criminal believe in fairy tales. The ebony colt found it rather humorous that she told him not to doubt, but chose not to speak out about for fear that she might strike him down with a lightening bolt. His orbs darted across her glorious display, touching on the bird like wings that now rested upon her translucent back. I...uh...uh...um.. was all the youngling could speak when his labrums parted on thier own.Realizing that he sounded like a complete idiot,Nyxx staightened up from his shock state, only to whither humbly as he met her clear pools that seemed to reflect the heavens. Who...are you? Confused baritones rang out in a slow, breathy manner.
