Her violet blue voids slid open, the soft light of dusk burning her once blinded eyes. She stood and shook her ivory pelt, ridding it of the earth that had clung to it. She emitted a soft sigh and suddenly remembered where she was. She knew that Karolek had stayed standing while she laid down, but she hoped he got some rest.
Her eyes searched for the golden stag, finally landing on him she smiled to herself. Images and words of the day before flooded back to her, so much had changed in her life in less than a day.
Dawn has yet to fail me the start of a new day. Tell me Karolek, did you sleep at all?
her lyrics were soft and curious, she wondered if maybe he had dome some soul searching while she slept, for all she knew he could be a changed stag, but of course, Rome wasn't built in a day.

¦know that we all fall down¦
The soft rustling of movement from the once asleep femora brought Karolek out of his trance. He had not escaped to true sleep that night, his mind much to busy with sorting out muffled thoughts and confusion emotions. Besides carefully patrolling the small surrounding area, after all he didn't want to stray too far from the sleeping mare. Though right before dawn had appeared he did slip into an open-eyed trance, no thoughts interrupting him but not darkness consuming him either. It was restful, though still not as good as a full nights sleep. He was very pleased, however, that she seemed to have slept very comfortably on the rocken floor. Words entered his unoccupied harks of hearing and he didn't even wait a moment to sort his worsd, after all it was a very simple question.
"Possibly," he said with an unexpected sly grin appearing on his maw. He didn't say it in any mysterious way, but rather as a good-natured joke. He didn't want to outright lie to her, because she would see right through him. Similarly admitting that sleep had not befallen him would just bring more awkward conversation into the folds of his audits. No drastic changes were made to himself or his way of thinking, he merely now decided to commit himself to stop over thinking things. If the first words that came to mind were not good enough, then you better find better company. A swish of his ebon laces shooed the pesky insects away as they awoke in time to find breakfast atop his hide. A step closer to Atlanta was taken with care, though it came almost unnervingly easy to do though he tried to push the nonessential thought away from his present mind.

Her gaze wandered to Karolek, who seemed to be in a trance-like state. She took a moment to look him over, taking in the golden hue of his pelt, how it seemed to shimmer, even in the dull light of dawn, the muscles that rippled underneath, his handsome face, but she saved her favorite part for last. she studied his amber orbs, how distant they seemed, only until she spoke, then they seemed to brighten from their hypnotic slumber. She watched the coy smile form on his maw. Possibly, she smirked back at him and glanced a knowing look towards the stag.
Very well then, don't tell me if you so wish but do riddle me this, what beauties does this land behold?
She noted that he had stepped closer to her, she took her own small step, inhaling the scent of his breathe before releasing her own carbon.

A skilled sense of when hidden eyes were gazing at him developed through his years of wandering, and it would surely help him in the future as King. For now it only told him she was secretly taking in his features, pools of violent wandering over his tawny chassi. This didn't bother him at all though, for she knew this wasn't meant in a way to size him up to due him harm. Rather the opposite, and so he merely ignored that fact. It wasn't very important, after all he often found himself doing the same. As he was doing now, amber optics trying to stray from her enticingly immaculate pelt but not being able to do so. Thankfully words caught his attention and occulars chose to settle on her own that resided so peacefully upon her crown of ivory.
"They are nothing hidden from you," he spoke softly with the smile remaining on his onyx dipped maw. "Some you just have to look harder then others," he continued while refraining from a chuckle. His words were quite contradictory, but he meant them that way. How else was he suppose to respond to those words, go off in a ramble of how the at noon the sun hits the canyon and stream below in a certain way that creates the illusion of a rainbow? Well, that would be surely neat if it was true. Though truthfully his optics didn't search for beauty in life, just threats. And this was something that would change eventually for him, but for now the only beauty he needed to set his warm pools on was this mare, a thought that startled him a bit.

The sun was barely peaking above the horizon, dusting the once darkened ground in a green and orange cast, this site tore her gaze away momentarily from the hession. Little things like the sunrise could be so beautiful. They are nothing hidden from you, Some you just have to look harder then others, she offered her own smile as it seemed his was contagious. Most would think his words contradicting but in all actuality they're not hidden, it just a matter of hard you look at something, or even just how you look at something.
Ahh, and those that you must search for tend to be the most beautiful of them all
She gazed at him, holding his eye contact. Looking into his optics didn't make her feel uncomfortable or wary, she felt steady and somewhat taken aback, but it was all a good feeling. She offered another soft smile.
Perhaps you will help me look?
She did want to explore the lands but for some reason felt like if she left this spot something would change, but that was a silly thought.

¦know that we all fall down¦
Nothing seemed to change, no matter how long amber occs strained to catch other movement in his land. Other mares were probably still asleep, and he felt no reason to check in on them as of yet. He'd much rather stay with Atlanta for the moment, something that set of an internal alarm within. Though he quickly put it on snooze and resumed with his gazing out at his land. Words from the fem's angelic maw entered his attentive harks as they swiveled to better accommodate her voice. Wise verses didn't need a reply, so he merely nodded his crown in reply and focused his gaze on her for now as she did the same, something that comforted him in a strange way. Not that he was worried about something in particular, rather he was just a,ways on a slight edge about something. Her presence made him rethink this way of living although, and for now he felt quite relaxed.
"Of course m'lady," he offered with a remaining smile upon his maw, one that seemed to have crawled on her own as well. He gave one more glance back at her alabaster bodice before stretching ebon hued pistons and slowly starting off onto their adventure through his land. He didn't really know where it would take them, or even what beauties he would show her. But there were sure to be some hidden deep within the folds of memory, and for this mare he would most certainly find them.
[My new motto for this thread is short and sweet xD.]
