¦lost 'til you're found¦
The trek to Druugroot wasn't very long nor trying, but it was still enough to feel a sudden sense of relief at the sight of the rocky terra. The King quickened his pace, his patience wearing thin as it usually does at a journeys end. The sight of the destination resulting in too much excitement that made his usual gait feel like it was only a snails pace. The infamous canyon was ahead, though he choose to take the path that led past the rocken outcroppings and to the welcoming green grass that thrived above. He glanced quickly behind him, making sure he hadn't lost Atlanta on his sudden increase of speed and wandering mind. Though she was still following behind him faithfully, though where else would she have gone without him knowing? He wasn't deaf nor blind. He snorted in disgust at himself, though he knew that also was probably not the brightest idea. Nevertheless, by now they had officially entered the boundaries that he considered his. He took in a deep breath of dusty air and a smile played across his maw.
¦swim 'til you drown¦
"Welcome to Druugroot," he proudly announced to the fae while halting his steps and turning his boa in order for amber orbs to set their focus on hers of a different hue. He awaited a response, though he wasn't sure of what sort he would get. Blackened dagger lifted itself off the ground then with sudden force slammed back downward, smothering the emerald stalks below. He did this only subconsciously although, for he wasn't irritated nor annoyed at this particular moment. A crisp breeze blew in, making him resist the temptation to shiver. Though fortunately the sun was still out, and the rays warmed up his tawny frame quickly. Orbs strayed from her crown and wandered warily, making sure nothing had changed since he had left earlier. But it was exactly the same, uninteresting. He hoped more company would change that, and he remembered to keep his auds intently pricked to gather her words as soon as they slipped off her tongue.
¦know that we all fall down¦

She followed the golden hued stag on autopilot, her mind was elsewhere, wondering and worrying. She was confused about Karolek, there was just something about him that she was drawn to and, though she would never admit it, she couldn't help but put a small amount of trust into him.
Welcome to Druugroot, his words entered her harks making her turn her attention back to him for a moment. Then her eyes swept over the lands, taking in the oranges and greens of the canyons, the layers of different colored rocks.
It's beautiful...
she wasn't sure what to say.

¦lost 'til you're found¦
If only words came more easier, Karolek thought in disdain. Usually he was quite comfortable in his state of silence, but that was because he was usually alone. He hadn't thought about the consequences and differences becoming a King would make. Not that he wasn't completely equipped and competent that he, he just needed more time to adjust. The majority of his life was without company, and leading a herd involved being in contact with fellow equines. Something he wasn't use to, and thus his constant struggle with finding the right words to speak. He was surprised to find how lyrics spilled out of his maw so easily when around the mare, though for now his loss of words seemed to have came back. For even as she spoke her own verses, soft almost awe-struck ones they were he still couldn't think of a response.
¦swim 'til you drown¦
Instead he resorted to avoiding speaking for now, until he found something worth while saying that is. His orbs followed her own as they gazed around at their surroundings, and he could see why she was seemingly at a loss for words also. It was quite a beautiful sight with the suns heating rays bouncing off the various colors resided in his land. The wind started pick up, no longer just a spring breeze but blowing strong enough to create a wave of dirt and dust. For now it was far enough away to not raise alarm, though his trained orbs could still make out the shape of oncoming cloud of dust. He wondered if maybe they should go to the safety of the canyon below, but he decided for now they would be safe.
¦know that we all fall down¦
"Yes," he replied simply. He couldn't think of anything else to say, so instead decided to merely agree. He stole a few anxious glances at the cloud afar, but then steadied them back on the femme while his mind strained to find some well thought words to speak. The continuing wind blew his cords wildly about, tangling them beyond saving from a few flicks or swishes. "Beautiful, but occasionally dangerous," he continued with a nod in the direction of the mixture of debris that worried him so. He knew the land seemed all too peaceful, but he had already encountered dangerous cliffs, severe storms and rockfalls. A duststorm was about the only thing he hadn't encountered. Not that he couldn't simply stop it dead in its destructive path, but he found it usually better to let nature take its course. She always had a reason for her works...

As her voids took in the scenery they were drawn back to the stag who was staring out to the horizon, she could feel a bit of anxiousness rising from him and followed his gaze. Upon the line where the rocks met the sky there was a cloud of orange and brown, the wind had picked up and she could tell that it was going to be a good dust storm though it was not close enough to give wary to.
She turned back to him, knowing full well he could stop the storm, but she didn't speak of it, knowing that he probably had a reasons. She simply stood and gazed at him, realizing that he was quite handsome, she had been to busy keeping her guard up to notice before. She tried to push this thought from her head, she felt vulnerable again and she hated it. Beautiful, but occasionally dangerous, she smiled at this looking him in the eye.
Aye, many things are, but maybe that was mother natures intent when she created it.
Her gaze shifted back to the cloud of dust, it had straggled a bit closer, but still.

¦lost 'til you're found¦
Amber orbs flickered back and forth between the snow-hued mare and threatening dust storm in the distance. On one level he was utterly consumed with the aura mystery that surrounded the femme, and her bodice was nothing to complain about either. There was no doubt she was beautiful, but that was something he often overlooked. Appearance had never mattered much to the stallion, his hormonal colt days long over with. But how she kept her pelt and tresses so immaculate in its angelic ivory hue was remarkable. On the other hand was the disastrous cloud of dust that relentlessly continued forward, it's power growing rather then lessening.
¦swim 'til you drown¦
Words from the mare beside him broke Karolek's focus on the oncoming storm and back to the femme as she spoke words of wisdom. The things she spoke were always thoughtful, as if she studied her words carefully before she let them out to be heard by anticipating harks. A talent he almost envied, but he supposed his speaking would improve with time. "Yes, I wouldn't doubt that for a moment," he chuckled, trying to lighten up his tenseness. Then an idea formed in his mind, one that made him visibly relax in appearance. There was no reason to worry, yet he had been doing it all the long. Boa shook softly in disbelief at his bout of insanity.
¦know that we all fall down¦
OoC||A little boring...should probably get some more conversation going. But I got an idea for my next post that will liven it up a bit, just didn't feel right putting it in this one...^_^.

She gazed at the swirling mass of dust, it hovered over the horizon looking like a plague. She could sense it in the ground, feel the approach, the change and for once she didn't care. She hated to admit it but she felt safe here, maybe it was the promise of a new life or maybe it was Karolek and his strange ways. Either way she didn't want to leave just yet as she hadn't had anything good in her life for many years.
She gazed back at the golden stag, looking into his liquid amber orbs, wondering what made him tick, and what his past held, she wondered just how powerful he was, had he ever been in love? Had he ever killed another? Was he just as lonely as she? How did he arrive to these lands?
o0c:Holy shoot I'm sorry for the terribly crappy post.

¦lost 'til you're found¦ The massive cloud of dust and sand continued on its merciless rampage throughout the land. It did not slow down, nor lesson in size rather just plowing through anything in its way. It came closer and closer, its speeding picking up considerably. The awaiting stallion felt the wind grow from an almost complete standstill to gusts that made his cords tangle beyond repair. His amber pools adverted their careful gaze at the storm to gauge the reaction of the mare that stood beside him. Her orbs seemed to be full of question, though to what he didn't know. Though to his surprise she remained silent, something he would expect from her. The sight of a billowing sandstorm was enough to unnerve even himself if he hadn't thought of a solution already. Even though as of yet he didn't detect any signs of worriment he sent a reassuring glance at her before he turned to face the storm.
Only second were left before the powerful force hit them, but somehow Karolek remained calm. The only tenseness in his body found in his orbs which were concentrating heavily as to get the perfect timing. There was no time for mistakes, though thankfully he didn't plan on making one. The storm hit with such force he unintentionally took a step back, making his relaxed frame tense with strain. Though after the initial shock he relaxed, almost marveling at how the dust and debris moved past them although not even the smallest particle found its way through the bubble he had created to protect them.
He now turned back to Atlanta, amber orbs glittering with silent pride at his accomplishment. He was never one to brag, and he wouldn't at this occasion either. Although internally he was still quite proud at his feat, which he deemed completely normal. The storm still blew powerfully through, although now he had complete control and returned to his previous state of ease as he gazed at the femme awaiting any sort of reaction. Jumbled words fought to be spoken but he remained ever silent. In either way, the noise around them would drown out anything but yelling, and he surely didn't think about doing that.
[Complete crap...so sorry. I would make it better with conversation etc, but I gotta go again and wanted to leave you with SOMETHING to reply to. I swear I'll get him talking afterward! haha.]

The winds had changed drastically as the storm barrel towards them but she waited knowing the the stag would not allow harm to come to himself, it was the matter of her own safety, if he chose to save them both then that would be that, she could trust him with her life.
Atlanta simply gazed ahead, unmoved by this scene, death could be nice if there was nothing to live for. She felt Karoleks' gaze turning to see the reassuring glance she nodded. She closed her eyes as the storm grew close enough to feel little bits of rubble hitting her pelt, then it was quiet, serene, peaceful, like the eye if a storm. Was this death? Had it happened so fast? Her violet blue orbs opened and she saw a wall of sand so close she could reach out her dial and touch it.
It was swirling around her, but not touching her, keeping a safe bubble like distance. She gazed at Karolek knowing he had produced the sheild. She saw how he tried to hide his proudness, he was modest. She smiled and nudged his cheek her maw close to his ear she whispered.
I trust you now with my life Karolek, I am yours.
she stepped away and lowered her upper half to the ground, one forleg extending out, the other folding underneath her, she gazed up at him with violet blue voids, unguarded, trusting.

¦know that we all fall down¦
It was passing behind them, the noise considerably dieing down and he once again considered opening his maw to reveal words. But what words? They had fallen so easily earlier, though now they seemed as if stuck in his throat slowly choking him. He wished he could just spit them out, no matter what they may sound like. But sudden movement of Atlanta shifted his attention and he soon found himself in quite close quarters with her, something that made the object beating within him pick up its pace twofold. For a split second the thought its sound could actually be heard by the fea worried him, though he quickly diminished this foolish idea. What was becoming of him? Even his thoughts were befuddled and not fit to be of a King's.
Whispered lyrics sent him into more nonsensical thoughts, ones he swiftly banished so he could focus all his energy on forming replying words. Though none seemed to fit her important verses until she took a step back, sending her physique toward the earth in something he could only form as being a bow of some sort. He flicked his dust hued audit in momentary confusion, though he quickly sorted himself out again and straightened his posture in effort to seem less detached from the situation, as he was far from that.
"There is no need for such things m'lady, please rise again. Though don't be mistaken, I am eternally grateful for you trust," he offered, warm smile tugging at the corners of his maw. A rush of relief at finally breaking his silence gave him the confidence to finally push away his paranoia. There was no need for such things, and he would overcome such a asinine habit. "So may I safely assume you won't be tempted to leave my land in the future," he asked carefully, toning his verses in the skillful way to convey he was only asking if she had permanently chosen to stay here. If she really meant her words. Innocent words with such an important meaning...

The ivory maiden had uttered words she never thought would pass her lips. Now she knelt before her king, the one who held her trust, her one virtue is this twisted world. Just moments before, when she had whispered those words, he had seemed stunned, or confused, she could almost feel his hear beat pick up, it had match her own.
That was all gone as she looked up at him, he looked cold and detached, this stung like a firm bite on the neck, but he was king and kings couldn't give anything away, just like she had lived for so long. Trust no one. the words moved through her skull, she had gone against everything she knew which now meant that she knew nothing. There is no need for such things m'lady, please rise again. Though don't be mistaken, I am eternally grateful for you trust, she questioned this for a moment, as her bodice rose she kept her voids on his, watching every expression, analyzing.
It seemed as he spoke his detachment faded, she watched the small smile grow on his mug. So may I safely you won't be tempted to leave my lands in the future, She was confused.
As it seems M'lord, I may be mistaken, as one moment you are unguarded and the next you hide behind a facade. Is it that you do not trust me? You ask to make sure I will stay because you are unsure of me, of course I shall stay as long as you want me, but I need to know that the same trust I've instilled in you is mutual.
This was a lot for her to say but it needed to be said. She kept her eyes fixed on his trying very hard to sort out her heart and head.

¦know that we all fall down¦
Confusion, a feeling that Karolek so utterly despised. Something completely unavoidable, something so normal...something so dangerous. This was the same emotion Atlanta was displaying now, so visibly etched onto her beautiful facade. Golden pools carefully trying to diagnose the problem, he knew he wasn't very talented with words. He frequently left much to be desired when choosing the wrong ones or sometimes even worse. Suppressing a sigh he listened intently as she voiced her thoughts, and he tried to sort his own thoughts as he conveyed their meaning. It was true, he shouldn't have lost himself that crucial moment when emotions and duty fought for top position. Maybe he was no fit for King? No, and he swiftly banished that thought from his head.
"No that is not it at all and I apologize, but may I ask is reassurance a crime?" he replied, his first few words sent with genuine regret. Openness was a very positive trait, and he appreciated how she let him know exactly what was on her mind. Though he failed at that quality, and found he must always word his phrases carefully. They could be very dangerous, and must be wielded carefully. "I am only a soul just like any other and am far from perfect...I trust you just as much as you hopefully trust me, my mind is just a place too foreign to explain to you...there is nothing wrong but me" he struggled to speak, his words probably meaningless jumble to her ears. Explaining things was even more difficult then conversing in small talk! Huff of air finally did escape his nostrils, frustration and confusion fight for appearance on his tired crown.
Everything was just so...confusing. He figured the best way to put this behind him was just to leave those few awkward moments in the past, and hopefully she would understand that none of this had to do with trust. He wouldn't have allowed her to step upon his land if he hadn't trusted her, he was just going through difficult strides to live up to what a King should be, that he almost forgot how to be an equine. Twitch of audits led him to the sudden realization that the storm had passed, and so he slowly let the bubble they had resided in dissolve into thin air. Dust still slowly settled down to the floor and the beautiful sight of the sun setting itself behind the canyon while sending various colored rays of light into the sky was visible to the two.

Her violet blue pools never left his amber gaze, she focused on his expressions, trying to understand him. He seemed to be contemplating something, lines of doubt and uncertainty crossed his map for a split second, but Atlanta caught them. He was doubting something, but she knew, somehow, it wasn't her.
No that is not it at all and I apologize, but may I ask is reassurance a crime? she shook her dial, it was a fair question that didn't need words to answer, but what he said next seemed to need some kind of response. I am only a soul just like any other and am far from perfect...I trust you just as much as you hopefully trust me, my mind is just a place too foreign to explain to you...there is nothing wrong but me as he spoke these words a wave of unexplained sadness washed over her, she closed the space between them and let her maw touch his nape for a second.
Aye, and the simplest of souls show they are flawed and scarred by life, but those with a greater meaning seem to want to hide and seem emotionless, as to protect their destiny and lives, and it is finding a balance between the two that you truly become the King you are. The inner workings of your soul and mind will come in time, you just have to listen.
She let her visionaries gaze once more into his, letting her words soak in for a moment.
If you choose to reveal to me what your mind speaks then so be it, but I do not demand it.
she offered a smile and turned to the setting sun, it yellow and orange hues painting themselves upon her alabaster hide. She reveled in the afterglow of the day, wondering what tomorrow would bring.

¦know that we all fall down¦
Optics fought to sneak a gaze at the beautiful sight that he unfolded itself in front of them, though with sheer willpower did he keep attention on the mare. Karolek's orbs slowly wandered over her lithe frame before settling on her focused pools of glimmering violet, searching for words. Unexpected movement on her put him on alert, though it was because of doubting himself and not her intentions. He quickly resumed his relaxed position, thoughts just flying away with the wind. Innocent touch to his nape brought a swell of undeniable calmness to his agitated self, the effect slowly spreading through his bod by his veins.
Soft vocalization was heard and slowly comprehended, though subtly surprised at such words from her. Not that he thought her dull or anything but intelligent, but words of wisdom they were indeed. It made him feel like it wasn't such a crime to show a touch of humanity or weakness to those that you trusted, it was only by enemies touch you needed to become the faultless stag. He had become unbalanced, and he didn't know exactly how he felt by being brought back to earth and sanity by a femora met just hours ago. Though it almost seemed as if the hours were years.
"Thank you," the words came soft and slow, almost being whipped away by the last remaining whips of wind. But they were genuine, heartfelt and said without barrier guarding them. Smile finally took over from the scowl that somehow managed to escape his senses and mood suddenly picking up on the positive side. "Your words are greatly appreciated," he finished and followed her gaze to the sunset. He had no reply to her latter words, for her barely knew himself. Instead he only tried to avoid watching the scene on her bod with the colors mingling with her pelt hue. He then took a step closer to her, leaving little space for air to flow between them.

Ah, how the day had come and gone like the wind. It seemed like ages passed as Atlanta stood there gazing at the stag, she felt like she belonged here, like she was meant to be in this very place at this very time. Most of the time her words seemed lost to underdeveloped souls, but she knew that Karolek understood what she was saying, she caught the meaning behind each word though how he interpreted it was complete out of her power.
Thank you, Your words are greatly appreciated his words were genuine and true. She nodded and nudged his shoulder again, stealing a breathe of his scent, it was warm and musky, her cranium swam slightly but quickly settled. She focused once more on the ending the day, the exhaustion finally catching up to her, she sighed a deep, content sigh and she lowered her bodice to the ground, her pillars tucking underneath her. From where she lay, she looked up at Karolek and smiled softly.
I believe I shall rest for a while, so I am ready for the new day, I feel like it will come at full force.

¦know that we all fall down¦
It felt as if strings were attached to his throbbing organ, playing tug of war with his emotions. Many were felt beneath the surface, and some even passed through to be visible by his face. Even though a few layers of Karolek were stripped off by this thoughtful mare, he still had many to go. And even though deep within those layers he felt the urge to say more words, spill things he had not intentions of saying. He still had some barriers though, and he knew this was not the time. It wasn't as if either of them were to be killed anytime soon, and so he would wait out his conflicting emotions and thoughts until he could sort them out properly. Preferably when he didn't have to worry about various disheartening emotions passing through defenses and conveying the wrong meanings to Atlanta. He did not want to hurt her, or anyone else for that matter. But something told him she was special, that he cared for her just a bit more then he did usually.
Casual lyrics were vocalized by femora as she laid upon dust feathered ground. There were better places to sleep, safer please along with it. But right now he didn't feel like being the overprotective uptight stag he would have been a few moments ago, and instead chose to respond to her verses with a mere nod. His own bod was tired by the day, from all the searching and breaking down of mind. But he still didn't lay down beside the mare, instead he choose for now to keep watch like the protector he was. scouring the land carefully for any intruders or threats, though none were to be found in the now peaceful land. More time to sort out confusing thoughts, though as time passed by he started to wonder if only simple time would actually solve his internal conflicts and dilemmas. Setting sun dipped behind the canyon and he could sense the moons powerful presence coming upon them. Another day lost to night, though he knew dawn would shortly follow.
