It is thought that at least a hundred years have gone by since the Ancients lived in Nyore Valley. They were the first to discover these lands, and back then little was known about the elements, and that beings had the power to control them so that they would bend to their will.Nyore Valley was nothing but that,a valley.A lush space between two mountains. The Ancients encouraged their leaders to move on,for this place would not sustain their numbers. But something kept them here..almost like a force, similar to that of magnetism.
And so they stayed,to the displeasure of the majority of the group.During the next few years in Nyore Valley, resources were depleted, and the weak perished.Traveling was then necessary to survive. The Ancients would hunt for places to eat,but were always drawn back to the valley. It seemed it would never get better, until the leaders began listening to the earth around them. One began to make rain fall from the heavens.Later,he would be dubbed Water King, the helpful.Another was able to harness energy from lightening, and developed the ability to produce fire.He was dubbed Fire King, the fearless. The third could make the earth rumble and force rocks to do his will.He was named Earth King, the powerful. And finally the last, elderly leader, who was weary with age, began to shape air,for that was all he had the strength to control. He became great, nonetheless, and was called Air King, the noble.
These miraculous skills were passed onto the herd members, and all became masters of their element. The Valley was shaped to suit their new lifestyles,as well as the problems they had before been struggling with.A portion of the Valley was set for each King, and the Ancients doubled their numbers.
And then the Days of the Plagues fell upon the Valley.Every equine, save a few,of all four elements was wiped out.The story of the few that survived is unknown. Some argue that they had to have moved away from the Valley to pass on their knowledge to ordinary equines. While that thought has yet to be proved, more and more are being drawn to the Valley. And all being drawn are benders. For a hundred years the unknown force has been silent. But it is awake now,and drawing all remaining benders together to restore the valley. Will you listen to the call?Better yet,are you being called...?
