ArinaMy head was bent to graze on the sweet grass, taking slow bites, and in my minds eye I was picturing the journey that I took almost a month ago. I now knew how to bend earth, my element, and I was very new to it. But, I was catching on quickly.
My ears swiveled around to take in the sounds of the wind, it made a soothing noise when it combed through the grass, and I payed close attention to which direction it was going, as to know when to run along side the majestic air of nature. My tail was battered in the breeze, and I raised my head to close my large round eyes, and let the soft wind brush my face. My mane blew to my left, and I turned around to race off into that direction with my invisible friend.
I bounced around with the wind, nickering and snorting in delight, and I felt like a filly again. My mane twirled around my face and neck, and my legs moved with an unknown beat. The space around me was quiet and peaceful, except for my joyful playing.
I really lived up to my given name, Arina. It meant peace in Russian, my mother knew a horse that came from Russia, and they had mostly spoken of peace and tranquility. I had been born in the spring, in a peaceful forest, so my mother decided it was a good name for me.
I stopped my horse play, no pun intended, and went from a playful romp to a fast trot across the open ground. I came to a stop at one of the small trees that bared apples, reaching up to pull a leaf from the branch, and then using all my upper body strength, threw my front hoofs up to land on the side of the trunk, and pluck a low-hanging apple from it's spot in the vast array of green leaves and branches. I set my hoofs on the ground and turned around to drop the apple, then I would snack on the fruit.

Just another summer day it was for the Earth King, suns rays baking harshly against his gleaming golden coat and humidity high enough that it was as if he was trotting through a rainstorm. So when the sweltering stag felt the playful tugs of a summer breeze there was much relief, even a sigh escaping his ebon dipped mug. Twisting around his hocks and tresses he quickened his previously slow pace to a swift lope, relishing the soft cushion of grass that softened his daggers blow to the earth. Quite unlike his place of ruling, which mostly was hardened rock with a few patches of greenery for peaceful grazing. Nevertheless he held no contempt to his place of residence - Druugroot. So many in fact that he was venturing to the peaceful field of Werliin to see if any more earth benders had wandered into the valley searching for a home, which he would most certainly provide.
Unmistakable scent of a vixen entered his nares, swirling around in his nasal passages before he could locate where the smell originated from. Changing course he now kept amber optics focused on the distance, scanning for the figure that matched the scent. Though vision was slightly impaired with the heat acting like smoked barrier that he had to see through, he still managed to find the fae peacefully standing under the shade of a large apple tree. A greeting smile crossed his strong features as he quickened his pace even more, pushing through the humidity's barrier and into the welcoming shade of the aged tree. "Greetings, I am Karolek," he spoke friendly enough, tasseled cords swatting at his hindquarters to rid his flesh of any pestilence that aimed to rid him of much needed substance.
"May I have the pleasure of your calling?" he inquired carefully, not wanting to pry much but thought himself to still be within the range of an well meaning greeting. Within the cover of the tree that air was less thick, and so his breathing intake slackened to heavy gulps to soft wisps to avoid sounding like a asthmatic. Though sweat still slicked his coat, dyeing it a shade darker then when dry but he didn't focus on such things. Instead he subtly gazed over her, taking in her silver coloring and intricate features. He could already tell she was an earth bender, just by the thick scent that enveloped her which mixed with her seasonal one which he fought to ignore. No sense in acknowledging that now. Even with that fact confirmed by his faithful nares he didn't make such a statement, rather keeping quiet until she decided to speak in behalf of her own. For he didn't even know her name...
OoC||Wow, surprised myself there. haha, maybe procrastination does pay off XP.

ArinaMy auds shifted around for a minute, flickering in the warm heat of the day. I waved my long golden flag around, swatting the small, unseen pests that were suddenly attacking my unprotected back. I noticed something in my vision that caught my eye, and was notorious to my glossy visionaries.
I lifted my crown of dark and light hues, greeting the visitor with a blank stare, something I was very used to doing. "Hello, my name's... Arina." I let my voice have some life as I felt his presence to be of no threat. I let my serpentine fall back down to graze, relaxed, and not completely ignoring the not-very-welcomed guest.
He was allowed to stand here, it was a pretty free land. I didn't own this 7'x7' square area, and no one did, so he could stay, as long as he just didn't get to pushy and try to try anything smart. I lifted my cranium after a minute, orbs blinking from the dry air, "You seem to be of a herd? I'm not exactly sure, so if you would kindly clear that up for me," I blinked a few more times. He did hold the scent of more than one horse odor, and they were fresh, so it was likely he was a herd member, or a King coming here to look for mares.
Well, he was also an Earth bender, so it was obvious he wasn't just talking to me out of loneliness. If he wanted to claim me, I would need to know what kind of leader he was. I wasn't going to be a victim of rape, or be a personal punching bag for this guy if he intended to put on a show of a good guy, then turn on me.
My hock kisser swished a few more times, hitting my figure with a quiet smack, and I let my nape hang in front of my fore legs as I basked in the oh-so-needed shade. I wouldn't ammidiatley not trust him, but I wouldn't put every drop of attention I had left in my life into listening to him. My curvature raised slowly, locks tossed about in an absent-minded shake of the head.
OOC|| xD I procrastinate a lot, haha. I like your post so much, but mines really sucks for my level of experience.

The straw hued stallion couldn't help but feel that he was somewhat unwelcome here, standing underneath the relieving shade of the great tree. He was quite surprised when her blank facade spewed words, he would have thought by her body language he'd be completely ignored. Though after her toneless words were spoken she dipped her viper back down to the earth, continuing her foraging of greens that he had obviously interrupted. Maw once parted in a friendly smile now shifted into an lopsided grin, supressing a chuckle as he wondered what made her give such a standoffish nature. Nevertheless, he was quite down to earth for a King and didn't give her any verbal lashings or anything of the sort. Instead he lowered his own thick boa to the ground and let his jowls open for enamels to rip the delicate emerald stalks away. If she wasn't going to put her whole focus on him, why should he? It wasn't a spiteful maneuver, more of a courtesy really. Who would want a stallion staring you down while you quite obviously wasn't interested in his presence?
Before he had the chance to ponder over how to respond to her simplistic words she raised her crown to let flow more lyrics. These indicating that she had finally realized he might be of some importance and not some hormonal colt that needed his fix for the day. But those words still left him pondering, not wanting to seem haughty as he declared she was actually speaking to the King of her element. A swish of ebon tangles warded off the pestilence that came from summer and only grew stronger once sweat was spilt. Lifting his skull to speak he gave soft focus to the dappled beauty, lids that covered amber pools half closed in a relaxed fashion."Arina, yes, I am from a herd. Are you?" he asked plainly, though his tone was far from emotionless. It was filled with innocent curiousity and genuine kindness, for that was just the way Karolek was. The only time you would see anger or foul thoughts cross his features was if someone he cared about was threatened or harmed, as was experienced some time ago though that was far from his focus as of now.
The easy-going King was actually quite pleased on how his words came out, using her name to convey that he was in fact listening no matter what his demeanor spelled. Also how he answered her question although not giving out the important dealing of his position as King. He would tell her in due time, though he'd rather see how she reacted around him as just a normal stallion first. Then the key part, turning the attention back on her. Even though they were, in fact, in the claiming field she could still be one of those 'crazy' ones just looking for trouble although she far from looked that way. Yet...you never quite knew.
Ooc||Aww, thanks =). And you're perfectly fine, I quite like your posts! Mine are sometimes long, but mostly just ramblings xP. If I ever lack enough detail for you to make a post just let me know, I need the reminders sometime ;D.

Arina
His expression was now different, a lopsided grin, seeming to wither away when she payed small attention to him. Well, we didn't want that now, did we? Hm, I shouldn't have been so rude, I don't like driving compny away, but I was just testing him.
He was from a herd, yippe. I was glad for that, since it might have been a crazed stallion wandering about the claiming fields... That was never a pretty sight. But, I still needed to fill in the blanks, before I could trust him at any level.
I watched as he lifted his head from grazing as well, a few beats behind my lifting of the cranium. My auds flicked a buzzing pest from the forelock as I gave it a moment before answering him back. I chuckeled a bit before answering, "Of course I'm not from a herd, I'm here in the claiming lands, aren't I? And I'm not crazy, 'cause I don't waste my time when I could be doing something useful." My words were friendly, at the least, and a hint of sarcasm in my nonchalant voice.
My ribbons smacked my sides in a pattern, the wiry hairs smacking some of the few bugs away, and missing some by a hoofbeat. "Those damn bugs..." I cursed under my breath, my sullen face turning to look back at my hocks where my tassel rested from it's attempts to swat the bugs away. "Well, why are you here? Shouldn't you be with your herd?" I pretty much knew the answer, but didn't want to assume that.
My virginity just came into my thoughts, and I felt akward at the moment, not even relizing what might have been bothering him. Stallions get all wierd when they are near a mare during breeding season, and I was happy that this one had the sense to lock it up in a box and throw away the key. The akwardness showed in my composure as I turned back to look at Krolek, but it vanished after a couple of seconds but he could have saw it anyways.
My sun kissed maw let out a small sneeze. My head being thrown down with the force, and it sounded much like a snort. I tossed my creamy locks a bit, and relaxed my face from it's tense expression as I observed the situation a bit, but tried to look calm and composed.OOC|| I just wanted to add tht last paragraph out of sheer boredness xD You're doing great, way better than me, and I don't think I'll be running out of things to respond to, lol.[/size]

So she does have a personality, Karolek mused with surprising harshness. He usually wasn't one to make sarcastic remarks, whether within the confines of his mind or spoken outward. A quick shake of his thick boa, ebon tassels flying about wildly, he regained his right mind and resumed listening to her surprisingly lively lyrics. He knew his verses were somewhat hypocritical, and he had acknowledged that. Though he fought a laugh as she fell into the same pitfall of questioning the obvious just a moment later. Still, at least she was seeming friendly enough now. And although he couldn't catch her mumbled words, he didn't think he was directed to himself so he successfully ignored them while silently fighting off the pesky insects. Did they ever stop constant buzzing around, tickling their ears and sucking their blood? Apparently not, as he had to trash his tangled cords once again to scatter the bugs that he landed upon his hindquarters. Unfortunately though this only protected half his body, leaving him to use other means to shield himself from their attack.
"Mmm, perhaps, though I like to believed I've gained enough respect around these parts for my herd to be safe," he spoke with an err of calm though this was far from bland. His tone was certainly alive and alert, just not bursting with enthusiasm. And yes, he had shamelessly given an obvious hint as to his standings in the hierarchy of things without admitting the obvious. For no matter how many different ways he could announce he was Earth King, it always seemed undeniably tacky. "I know my element well enough to be able to say to you confidently I will be the only stallion of our element to seek you. I could show you the way to my Kingdom - Druugroot or I could leave you well enough alone. It is up to you, Arina," he spoke finally just pushing through his soft spoken nature and speaking the inevitable.
As much as she seemed to be a nice individual, he didn't want to waste all day chatting her up only to find she'd rather wait for a different earth stag - which didn't exist as of yet - to come and sweep her off her feet. He could offer her food, water and safety. Anything else would only come with time, and whenever he knew more about her then just her name. Though for now he let his amber pools absentmindedly glance over her frame, though in far from a perverted fashion. Though he misjudged her momentary uncomfortableness for her being offended by his focus of gaze and as such adverted his occs to their surroundings, as if suddenly finding the tree above very interesting.

ArinaI watched him fight off the pesks, taking his time before he answered. I shifted my weight to my other foot, and my cord flicked viciously at the pesk that had conviently landed on my shoulder. My cranium gave a hard shake, sending golden locks flying, and I stopped to listen to what he was saying.
Wait, did he just say my herd? Was he the... Earth King? Whoa, now I felt like I should have been nicer to him. And why didn't he just say earlier that he was the Earth King?
My occulars seemed to blink of astonishment, my words apologetic, "Oh, I didn't know you were a King. Not that it doesn't look like your are a wonderful King." I bowed my skull respectfuly, looking back up with happier expression. I felt much safer now that I knew he was both a king and kind stallion.
Now I blinked again, letting his calm words sink past my thick skull. I blinke a few times, but mostly stared wide eyed at the ground. He was asking to bring me to his lands?
It was up to me... I could go with him, or stay here. Well, that was a pretty easy option. I gave a small nod, "I would be honored, for you to show me to your Kingdom." I was booming with joy, but all that showed was a friendly grin on my beautiful features.
OOC|| Yay! =D That one was really sucky toward the middle, but I would say it got better toward when it ended. But yay! Arina get's to go to Druugroot! ^-^

The smokey femora's look of astonishment was nothing surprising, as he supposed he was quite a bit too subtle for her to notice. He wasn't offended at her misjudgment, and to show this he gave a mild laugh at her vocals. "No need to apolagize," he gave in comforting tones with a smile tugging at the corners of his ebonite maw. As she gave a acknowledging bow he dipped his boa in a polite gesture, though not completely succumbing to a bow. Karolek could almost see the wheels turning in her delicate crown as she stared down to her feet in concentration before swiftly pulling her crown back upwards and giving him an affirmative nod and lyrics. A sudden relief of tension he didn't knew he had washed over him, making the small muscles in his face soften with relaxation.
"And I will be honored to show you it," he replied simply with one last swat of his tassels against golden hide. Hopefully they would find some sort of shelter in his terra, perhaps a crevice in the canyon or the breezes in the plain above. No matter where it would be fine, it would have to be better then the insect infested field they both stood upon now. "Follow me, Arina,," he offered as he turned his back upon the beautiful vix and set out back into the sweltering heat. No matter how hot it was though, he settled immediately into a brisk trot figuring it would get them to their destination much quicker to which he was aiming for.
OoC||Just a quickie so we could end this thread. You can reply if you want, up to you. But I think this thread is pretty much done XD. Would you like to create the thread in Druugroot? Or me?
