She stood her ground, she had said what she needed to say and now she watched as they both responded in their own unique ways. The nameless stag's response surprised her and she watched in amazement as he bowed to Karolek, gave yet another suggestion on how to discipline her, she held back any remarks in fear if provoking the stag.
She stood now, letting Karoleks voice echo through her head, not that those words held much meaning to her, it was simply because it was the only thing that seemed to fill the silence that was suddenly closing in on her. Her gaze shifted to Karolek, and she could see the rage boiling inside of him, she could feel it rolling off his hide, she could taste it on her tongue. She studied his face, finding confusion.
She moved to him, concern was etched deeply in her violet blue eyes that now searched his. He seemed lost in thought, lost to her. She touched her maw to his cheek and moved to his ear, her voice was just a whisper.
Karolek, its me, come back to me, remember yourself
Her maw left his ear and moved to his nape, she ran her plush over his golden hide, trying to comfort him.

Amber occs watched uneasily as the stag ventured beyond where even his trained orbs could reach. No more threats, no more adrenaline pumping into his veins, no more violence. He just needed to calm down, to let this experience wash away. Something like this was bound to happen, he just hadn't expected it this soon. And to feel so confused and conflicted in the process was something that he needed to dwell on a bit longer. Or maybe he should just let things go, let things happen as they will and react true to his self. Whether that be a cool and collected Karolek, or the protective hessian that had made a brief appearance just a few moments earlier.
Atlanta brought her lithe bod closer, maw breathing in comforting words then stroking his serpentine. Cranium twisted to reach her ivory crown, nares took in a long deep breath with her consoling scent swirling around in his nasal passages. Nuzzling her gently he felt his muscles slowly relax in succession, continuously breathing in her relieving scent. She was still here, and only a few streaks of crimson defiled her coat. Resentment started to billow up at this thought, but he quickly banished it to the back of his mind. "I'm sorry," he breathed softly, moving his velvets softly across her crown before whispering into her auditories. He knew he had momentarily lost himself, and he so urgently wanted to come back. Slowly he was, but until then he just wanted to live in the moment and breath in her sweet scent and caress her smooth hide.

She drank in his scent, moving her maw to his withers where she continued to groom and comfort him. He seemed to relax a little and she felt a bit of worry ebb from her voids. She moved back upwards towards his crown, feeling his mugs soft sweeps she felt more at ease, he body had been drained of her energy, but right now that didn't matter, she still had the rest of her life to rest, once again thanks to Karolek.
She closed her violet blue orbs, letting his words wash through her body. Sorry? She gazed at him for a long moment, trying to sort this out in her mind. She nuzzled his cheek and looked straight into his occuli.
Do not be sorry m'lord, for saying you are sorry means that you regret saving me yet again, If any apology needs be spoken then it needs to be from me, for I am foolish and irrational at worst but I simply could not stand by and watch that, even if it was all for nothing perhaps I gave that bastard something to think about. So you should not be sorry, for I am the sorry one, I put you and your herd in danger, though I am sure you would have been able to defeat him, and if you cannot accept my apology and try to understand then you may never know me.
It felt strange to speak so much after being silent for so long. The words tasted strange in her mouth but she soon adjusted and found her flow again. She moved her plush down his boa again to his withers, moving slowly down his spinal cord then back up to his facade, she gently blew into his nares and drank in his earthen scent, it smelled of cedar and pine, soil and clay it soothed her. She felt her organ in her chest well up as she thought about this, but she wasn't sure what it was.

Smooth swipes upon the fair maiden's dial were traced with ebon dipped kissers, slowly tracing down to the curvature of her nape. It felt so peaceful at this moment, like the horrible steed had never even appeared and it was just the two. Karolek wished this would never end, but then her soft verses entered his twin spires and he was brought back to the corrupted reality. The feeling of her maw softly against his withers put him at ease, but he still knew that he would never forget the dreadful feeling of earlier. The feeling of indecisiveness was horrendous, not knowing whether to attack and lose himself or to let things happen as they did. What would the result have been if Atlanta didn't speak her wise words? And why had the stag listened to those, rather then his? Questions that would never be answered. Though the real thing he was sorry for, was for not saving Atlanta earlier. Though he couldn't speak such things, no, not now when he was finally returning to himself.
Pulling away from her smooth skin he let his amber orbs stare into hers, transfixed in her violet pools. "Well then we both have no reason to apologize, for you did the right thing trying to save the femora's life, and I far from regret saving you," he spoke calmly, trying not to glance at the soulless corpse that lay beside them a few paces off. He hadn't known her, though she surely couldn't have deserved the death she had been given. With only a moments consideration he turned to focus on her, letting the earth slowly drag her down to its peaceful depths. Not like he would have done to the hellion, oh no. She just sunk into the earth, the dirt and grass finally settling to look as if no-one had even been buried there. Now that the task was complete he looked back to Atlanta, cranium fluttering with a multitude of thoughts yet somehow he still remained focused on the present. Letting his other thoughts plague him at a different time, but reserving right now for the dove before him. "I do want to know you, Atlanta," he whispered in her lobes with a serene smile softly tugging at his velvets as they drifted upon her alabaster canvas.

She let a soft sigh of content escape her maw as she felt his plush dance along her hide. It was peaceful, and she was relaxed for once in her life. It felt strange in a very nice way, she felt the tension ease out of her. His lyrics danced there way into her auditories. Well then we both have no reason to apologize, for you did the right thing trying to save the femora's life, and I far from regret saving you, She gazed at him for a moment a small smile playing it way onto her features.Fair enoughShe nodded and continued to groom him, letting this moment sink in, she could tell he was still slightly tense, but she let herself remain passive, hoping he would pick up on her energy. Then his vocals hit her and she felt her face go blank for only a second as she contemplated it. I do want to know you, Atlanta, she stepped back and gazed once more upon his features, seeing a smile upon his facade made her feel slightly better. Another sigh escaped her maw, it was a sigh of defeat. It 'tis a long story m'lord but I shall tell you. This is what I came from, and how I came to be here. I shall tell you, but you must listen. She paused once more and gauged his reaction before continuing.I was born in a land far from here, where the grass was lush and so fun to play hide and seek in. I remember my mother, she was beautiful, her coat was white like mine and she had violet eyes, full of wisdom. My father, oh how I loved him, he was dappled with blue eyes that could go cold as ice when someone crossed him. Those are all distant memories though.
I was taken from my herd when I was only a year of age, to a place where there was no lush grass and no friends to play hide and seek with. It was cold there, and dark, most of the mares were emancipated and looked right through me with haunting eyes. Though there was one mare I befriended, her name was Misery, we were fast friends and she was the only one I trusted. Now, Every morning we would line up and the leader, a chestnut stag whose name I wish not to remember, would greet us with some sort of punishment, the first morning I made the mistake of crying out as the hellion bit my ear, he then, enraged with my slip, gave me the scar I have upon my neck, a reminder of the lessons I learned. Don't resist, don't speak. That's what they told me, oh but they didn't know me, they didn't know my fire. As I watched others die all around me I felt my will to live grow and it soon became my fiercest instinct. "Stay alive" and I did, and I escaped one night, with the help of an old mare, she was a sage, who told me of a land where equines of the elements lived. She told me of ancient ones and their legacy, she told me that I should follow the call of the earth. She taught me a bit about bending, but I honed me skill when no one was around. She told me that I wasn't alone. Now. Here I stand.
My only regret is leaving Misery behind, knowing that I broke her trust, and that kills me every day of my life. I wonder frequently how she faired but somehow know deep inside me that she’s alive, and closer than I think.
She stopped and gazed at the sod. She could not meet his eyes, she did not like speaking of this, and soon hot tears spilled down her ivory cheeks, it was painful to remember.

It pleased the golden stag as he felt his alabaster maiden relax under his soft touch, just as he felt the tension relieve itself from his stilts as time progressed. The thoughts of the earlier experience slowly disappearing from his mind and being replaced by the comforting feelings of the present. Though slowly was still the key word. Now though her face strangely became blank and she removed herself from their close proximity, a sigh escaping from her dainty maw. Concern clouded his own features as he tried to contemplate what might have set her off to her dreary path. Though as her lyrics started to be spilled into his awaiting towers he started to understand why she acted so. As she started her entering words of her story, she mildly instructed him just to listen and he nodded in understanding. He didn’t even consider interrupting if she was about to share her long awaited story, and so with his patient nature he listened intently as she spoke her meaningful verses.
The time seemed to tick by slowly as he listened to every utterance she gave him, taking it all in and listening earnestly to the hard truths that were her past. Once finished he could do nothing but feel immense pity for her, seeing those tears stream down her face as so. He knew she most likely didn’t want pity, though he was going to give it to her whether she liked it or not. Cranium closed in to her crown, sliding underneath the curvature of her nape and lifting her crown to face his amber occs. Maw gently wiped away the stray tears of liquid that fell from her violet pools, pure care evident on every inch of his mass. “Thank you for letting me in, though I feel grief for making you relive that horrible experience,” he breathed once peaceful silence had set in for a few moments time. “I’m sure the Misery you speak of understands that you had to do what you had to do in order to escape,” he offered in hopes of consoling her somewhat. Atlanta had sure done wonders for himself in the little time she had so far resided with him, and he could only hope that he would have a positive effect on her life. Karolek now pulled away from their contact and let himself gaze deeply into her wondrous orbs, so many things swirling around in his head though none of them penetrated his unbreakable focus on the femora.
OoC||Urg, I can't think of how to redo this. I can think of different ways, just not better ways if you know what I mean. My muse hasn't been all too great lately either...so yeah. Maybe if you could PM me & explain what exactly makes my post suckish and hard to reply to, then I could change it for the better. Anyway, sorry I'm so difficult. Just a little confused is all ^^.
