Everything here was new. She opened her lids from a deep slumber and gazed around with deep green pools, morning had not yet broken on the horizon and everything was cast in an eerie afterglow. The tiny filly felt suddenly alone. She blinked and looked around more clearly, the haziness of sleep being cast from her mind.
Momma?
She called looking around, her vocals loud and alone in the quietness. She struggled to her feet, her thin, wobbly legs still too long for her lithe bodice. She let out a small whinny, calling to her mother who seemed to be absent.
Momma?
She called out again, louder and more urgent this time. Fear began to close around her, it's icy hands choked her and formed tears in her eyes. She was alone, where was her mother.

I set my sights on you, N E R O;; and no one else will do.
Morning danced on the horizon, flirting with the pale clouds and cool breeze.Light shades of orange and pink stretched out from its source as the sun began to peek out, illuminating the sleepy world. The air was too soon humid, foretelling steaming temperatures.Summer was at its peak and every living being was waiting for relief. A sudden flash of a fawn colored equine turned attention from the coming sun and all its glory to a young brute, alone in his thoughts. His intentions of coming to a land where foals were trained to become powerful benders were unclear, although a look of determination and longing shadowed his features. With a flick on his whipcord a gust of wind stirred the dust up before his moving frame while he scowled at the earth. If one stood closer to this buckskin colt, they would heard him mutter angrily.
Suddenly he stopped,an alertness coming over his body.Twin harks were erect, pointed towards the stealer of his attention. It was a filly, clearly distraught. Her slight skull swung side to side in searching, perhaps for her dam.The colt seemed to almost resist and ignore her cries, but curiosity killed the cat and he was soon approaching the stranger. Words did not come easily, but his orbs stared. He was not harried by the silence as he seemed to ponder her existence upon this terra,so alone. What's wrong? were his unsympathetic words. He had no experience in helping others, nor did he possess these social skills as of yet.His features twisted visibly, coming to a conclusion that these were not the right words he had been searching for. I'm Nero;who're you? The unavoidable youthful vigor was beginning to show at the realization of a potential playmate. Orange and pink began to paint the sky in watered down strokes, barely rising above the sea that engulfed the horizon line. The young oak colored femme was struck with fear and things began flooding back to her. She remembered being stirred during her deep slumber, he mothers voice in her tiny harks, saying goodbye. Her mother had left her here, alone.
Another voice broke her memories, cutting through them as lightning divides the sky. The voice was young but boyish What's wrong? She spun to face the golden colt, taking in the emotionless tone in his voice, all wrong for the words he spoke, this confused her, then he spoke again I'm Nero;who're you? she felt her confusion screw up her delicate features, she shook her tiny dial and looked at the young hellion with emerald green eyes.
My...my mother, she left me. I remembered now because she talked to me while I slept 'cept I was kind of awake and I don't know why she left, maybe she didn't want to be my mom anymore, I must have don't something to make her not love me any more.
She was terribly confused, so many thoughts tumbling through her head that her previous fear had vanished and the curiousity that most youngsters experience took hold of her. She blinked at the little colt one again trying to remember what else he had asked.
I'm Point. Do you have a mom, Nero?

Fluffy whipcord attempted to swat at the brave first ranks of the coming onslaught of flies. With little success, the colt turned to stamping his hooves whenever a slight tickle was felt-that tiny being that turned a single hair just a tad bit the wrong way. This method was proving to be effective, although it made him look like a tap dancing fool.At this thought,Nero kept still except for the occasional necessary movement, else he would suffer a painful bite from a particularly persistent fly. The young hessian forcefully turned his attention to the filly, who was suddenly pouring out all of her thoughts into one breath of a sentence.Nero blinked once, slightly drawing back from the onslaught of emotion. An awkward moment was sure to come, and it was clear on Nero's face he wasn't ready nor willing to meet it. After the filly had finished spilling out her answer the colt could only stand there and stare down at her. What was he to say?He quietly cleared his throat, turning his gaze to the earth. Oh...er...I'm sorry.Maybe she'll come back? The buckskin hardly believed his own words, yet he did not let the other know of that.He almost sighed in exasperation when she began to speak, but this time it wasn't a flow of words, but rather a greeting. Point...that's odd the colt said aloud, not realizing his lyrics could be taken offensively. Yep.Zephira, the Air Queen. Once more Nero tryed to cover up words that sounded wrong after ringing in his auds as they faded from the atmosphere. But she's not that great.Neither is my dad...they still haven't brought me here to train. This time instead of bending,Nero kicked the sandy floor with his ebony hoof, stirring particles into the gusty air.His gaze remained trained at the earth in frustration. Her green optics stayed glued to the little colt, watching him stomp around and then abruptly stop. She was quite confused and very sad. Why didn't her mother love her anymore, she didn't do anything bad, maybe she left because Point had failed to go to sleep when told. A small sigh escaped her maw as she looked around. Oh...er...I'm sorry.Maybe she'll come back? she blinked.
Maybe, I think she's mad because I didn't go to bed when I was supposed to, so she doesn't want me anymore because I'm a bad foal.
her tone wasn't sad, but contemplating then the sandy babe spoke again Point...that's odd she snorted and stomped a small dagger into the sand, a bit upset, she didn't like being made fun of.
It is not. odd. its unique, just like your name
She snorted again and swished her downy tail stomping at the blood sucking pests. She sighed and listened once more to Nero Yep.Zephira, the Air Queen. But she's not that great.Neither is my dad...they still haven't brought me here to train. Her eyes went wide and her feet splayed out a bit.
Your mom's a queen? does that mean your a prince? Should I bow? What do you mean by Air? is that the name of the land?
She paused and looked at the sand as well.
Whatcha looking at?

I set my sights on you, N E R O;; and no one else will do.
I stole a glance at the filly, finding her features lathered in despair.A little prickle of sympathy scratched from somewhere inside me and I took a single step towards her frame. This was uncharacteristic of me.She had her own problems, and I had mine as well.We should each deal with them separately... But her expression weakened these mottos and I allowed my maw to touch her cranium ever so lightly. All of a sudden she came to life with more words and, partly embarrassed for having been caught in a tender moment,I stepped backwards. Her lyrics didn't make much sense to me...Mother would never leave me for not going to sleep.I tilted my buckskin skull to the side, choosing to keep my mouth shut this go around. I watched the filly take offense to my comment about her name and my twin towers pricked at her strange words.Unique..? Nero is a perfectly normal name, thank you very much. My muzzle pointed skywards in a huff, orbs closed shut to her insults.Wait...unique?Wasn't that a good thing?I returned my gaze to her. Oh...uh..thanks..
The filly startled me when she jumped.I glanced over my shoulder expecting to see a predator or sorts coming to make a meal of two lone foals. But there was nothing, only rolling dunes and seaside foliage.Oracles rested upon her once more, questioning her intentions.I was answered by astounded lyrics. It wasn't a big deal really..being heir of a Kingdom and all.Dad sure made a big deal of it..he hadn't laid off the lectures about responsibility and leadership since I was able to talk. Yea..yea...no why should you?... I attempted to answer all of her questions, stopping on the Air question. My jaw dropped. The Air Kingdom is where I live.Aren't you a bender? Everyone was a bender. Point glanced down at the ground, wondering what I had been looking at earlier. Nothing important.Air's the important element I stated with a sense of pride.Perhaps Dad's speeches were rubbing off on me. I flicked my fluffy whipcord, sending a small channel of air to blow in the filly's face and ruffle her fluffy forelock. words;; 493 muse;; good mood;; playful notes;; switching it up on you xD i thought maybe 1st person would help me out a bit nero's a cutie...he'll have to live up to my siggie persona description of him when he gets older cause its fun RPing him like this ^-^[/blockquote]
