Neill hated having to do this. Meeting the king, from what he heard the king wasn't anything like himself. But he had to be somewhat polite, he didn't want to get kicked out of his new home. And a fight with the Earth King wasn't what he wanted, he could be loyal to a king, if the king let him do what he wanted. So he trudged around, not knowing where to look and not really caring. If the Earth king was any good he would find him. If not, well he kinda tried didn't he. He snorted, it was twilight, his favorite time of day. It was the time that shadows ruled, and with his black coat he sometimes thought of himself as a shadow. He smiled at the thought of himself able to sneak up on unaware mares, and probably scare the living daylights out of them. He shook his head and told himself to focus on the task ahead.
ooc: blah, I can't get used to roleplaying the big bully.

With the sun setting in the distance brought gradual darkness to the land of Druugroot, the golden stag's land of reign. Purples and blues swirled together on the horizon, intermixing their colors and creating quite a beautiful sight. One that could have been shared on the canyons edge with his Queen standing beside him and the rest of his beautiful mares behind. Though instead the King was searching out a scent, one that plagued his nostrils for some time now but was previously so faint he thought it was only his mind playing tricks on him. Now, though, the stench of another stallion within the parameter of his land was quite evident, and surprisingly revolting. He prided himself being fair to all, male and female. But owning land of his own now, he found it only instinctual to become immediately defensive. He could be there to challenge him, or perhaps try to steal one of his precious femoras. And you don't mess with things Karolek cares deeply about, you just don't.
For now though he decided to keep an open mind, for he hadn't even seen this stags face as of yet. So ebon pistons carried him swiftly in the direction of the wandering brute, though he took great care to keep his flints to the grass so as to take an silent approach. He wanted to get a good look at the stallion before meeting him. Muscles rippled silently under tawny hide, amber occs surveying the fore as they sought the mysterious brute. Finally they spotted him, locking on to the charcoaled steed as he slunk about in the shadows of twilight. Even at first sight Karolek decided he wasn't the kindest of brutes, just by the smirk on his face and the way he moved alone. As such he decided he should not wander unsupervised anymore in the midst of his land and stepped out of concealment of shadows and boulders to appear behind the steed, possibly startling him.
"What purpose brings you into my royal lands, brute?" boomed the King, demanding and harsh words unfitting to his calm and serene face. He wasn't angry, he just wasn't get to beat around the bush and act like the stallion didn't bother him at all. He did, and his words clearly showed it. Just to express this even further the aged and dry shrubbery that he had just appeared out of started to twist and turn wildly, though he settled it down for the time ebing to hear of what defense the steed would bring. Maybe he should have been a bit kinder, but with Karolek the first impression is usually the last and for some reason the stag just left a bad taste in his mouth.

Neill was done, he had wanted to meet the king and maybe get off on the right foot. But he couldn't seem to find him, or maybe the king didn't want to meet his newest subject. It was getting dark and he preferred not to be away from his empty lands any longer than necessary. With no one there another stag could easily think that it was unclaimed. The fight would be boring, considering he would most likely win, but the odds of him not getting injured were slim. He couldn't get anything accomplished if he had to nurse injuries.
Suddenly a horse appeared in front of him, startling him. With the light from the setting sun, the horse almost appeared to be made of gold. When he spoke, Neill knew that this was the King he was looking for. He bowed his head low, wondering what the King thought his intention was. Greeting My Lord, I am Neill, lead stallion of the land Rirorn, which is under your rule. I thought it would be polite to meet you, seeing as I will now serve under you. He spoke calmly, trying to show the King that he was no brute.

Pleased smirk crawled upon the golden monarch's lips, noticing that he had undeniably startled the brute. Perhaps this wasn't the most polite way to greet an stag, but he still wasn't yet sure of his purpose here. For all he knew he could be here to challenge him for his position as King. Which Karolek would not take lightly too, because even though he was quite a kind and compassionate ruler, he didn't like to be threatened. Thankfully though the steed did not seem to be here to challenge him, instead bowing respectively and speaking calm. Now it was his turn to become bewildered, though he managed to keep a straight face as he nodded in response to the stag's words.
"Welcome Neill, I am Karolek, supreme ruler over Druugroot and its subordinate lands," he managed to voice calmly, though amber occs still narrowed in focus on the brute. It seemed as if Neill was already quite versed in the laws and rules of claiming a sub-herd but he felt it right to explain things himself anyway. "Aye, your thinking was correct and I commend you for taking such steps," he offered, his opinion on the stag starting to take on a new light though he still did not trust him. "You are welcome to continue to rule over your land, Rirorn, as long as you understand I am still ruler over you and you should think and obey me as such. I am a fair King, but I have standards and I trust your moral compass will not let you stray from what I consider just," he explained firmly, his tone very steady but showing neither anger nor warmth.
More words fought to escape his tight lips but the czar held them back until the steed replied to his already uttered words. It wasn't the appreance or additude of the stag that troubled Karolek, it was the gut instinct that he felt in his heart and stomach that made him question who this steed really was. He supposed he'd have to make quite a few suprise visits to his land before his worries were calmed. A firm eye would have to be kept on his mares too, trust was just not extended to the stag and it probably wouldn't until he proved himself in some way. Perhaps he was being too harsh, but he'd rather be firm then a pushover.
