It is thought that at least a hundred years have gone by since the Ancients lived in Nyore Valley.They were the first to discover these lands, and they thrived here, becoming ever powerful and experts at their elements. But they have long since vanished,and Nyore Valley has been nothing but a ghost town,until now.For decades the Force has been silent,awakened now..perhaps by the Ancients, to regroup all of those with Ancient blood.Like a magnet, it draws them here.But the four kings must come first,as stated by the prophecies.They will recreate powerful herds,like in the old days.

While the advertising contest is over(congrats to Sadi for winning),the staff auditions are still going on,and every one can audition!Some of the people I would consider giving the Mod spot to haven't auditioned,so chew on that while you head on over to that thread ;D
As I'm sure you've noticed,the site has gotten a new look in some areas to liven it up.The layout contest is still going on,but if no one else joins by August 1st it will close and the winner will be selected by staff.

Well a big ol' hello to all our great new members! It's so great to see this site so alive =). I'd like to apologize for my own recent absence. My laptop has been retarded and just about everything on it has gone bad in the past couple months =.=. Plus I've just been busy in general. But I think I've got things sorted out for now and I should be more active. Anyway, we have both staff auditions and a layout contest going on so don't be afraid to join! I think Starla has covered just about everything else, so I'll leave this short and sweet.

The Invernis River dumps into the Great Sea.North of the River lies a rich,flat land,home to the Water Kingdom.This vast stretch of fertile land makes up half of the Highlands,the other half belonging to the Air Kingdom. The beaches here are of the whitest sands and are great for practicing your bending with the ocean water,although its a little tricky to grasp because its ever-moving.The River,on the other hand,provides a beginner's practice session,although only foals are considered beginner benders in the kingdom lands. Borders are proudly patrolled,so its best to have a good explanation for crossing them.

Set back from the river are the highest lands of the Highlands.Hills and mountains make up these lands for the most part,and the highest mountain belongs to the Air Kingdom.Here the Air King and Queen reside,honing their skills with the clear,clean air that surrounds the mountain peak.Far below on smaller mountains is where the Air herds live,and from up above the King and Queen can see all.

A series of cliffs,jagged drop-offs,rock walls,and of course,thousands of boulders are home to the Earth Kingdom.Gravel makes up most of the floor,but here and there are vast fields of grass,making the lands livable.Stretches of bare land filled with nothing but rocks make the perfect spots to practice bending.But be warned.Mostly anywhere you go in the Kingdom,you'll have rockwalls at your side,and this place is notorious for rock falls.The Lowlands are shared with the Fire Kingdom,so watch your back.

In the lowest part of the Lowlands lies a charred forest,blackened by generations of Fire herds.Thankfully,previous benders have always thought of the future and have restricted bending in many parts of the land.Foliage here has a smokey taste,but its nothing the Fire equines aren't used to. Located in a desolate area far from the Kingdoms lie the Badlands,a flat, desert-like portion of Nyore Valley.Here is where the outcasts live,the ones born without an element.They have no where else to go but here,to live in their own little world inside Nyore Valley.It is unknown what draws them here,because it was thought only elementals felt the Force.But sure enough,they exist here,unable to fight or claim the elementals. There is no set social order here,and its every equine for himself.These proud beings refuse to be ordered around by a leader, but this doesn't stop stallions from collecting a few mares for himself. This is the only place outside the Kingdoms that bending can be practiced in.It is set back away from the river,surrounded on the backside by a sheer rock wall.There's plenty of water,earth,and of course air for practicing,and its size is large enough to accommodate a good amount of bending.Parents and mentors bring foals here to watch others and practice their own skills.There is a peace here,that has existed for centuries,to prevent harm while practicing your element. The spirits of the deceased are drawn here by some unknown force.At the altar they stand,confessing their wrongs,if they have any.A faceless voice announces their judgement,and they are sent to either the paradise or hell,where they will remain for all eternity.Occasionally a spirit will slip out to haunt the living. This is where the ones who have strayed off the path go.Its actually not so bad,but you never feel satisfied or content.There's no relaxation and there's always something thats gone wrong. But other than that,its not horrible like in the stories.However,if you upset the lead Demon,he will make your afterlife a living hell here,literally.
Just out of the range of the living horses' vision rests Utopia,hidden way up in the clouds.Here is where the good spirits go,and unlike the Underworld residents,they get the special privilege of being able to look down on all of Nyore Valley.Of course,they can't make any contact;its forbidden. And should you choose to do wrong up here,you'll be sent down to the Underworld by the head Angel.If your sin wasn't unheard of,you'll only be down there for a little while.But should you do something terrible,you might as well call the Underworld your home.
